LEGGINGS & JeGgiNgs are all the RAGE this Season!

Everyone loves a nice pair of leggings right? They are comfortable, easy to pair, and form fitting..... on ladies. But what about men? The above picture is a "supposed" glimpse of Chris Brown's new album cover for "Graffiti". In this picture, Brown sports a pair of form fitting pants. They are not skinny jeans or jeggings, jeans that are so form fitting they look like leggings. However, they are form fitting none the less. Although, skinny jeans are all the rage this season, Brown has caught much criticism for his choice of album cover wear. People beliee the pants are too tight and set a bad example of dresscode for his young fans. Below is his twitter response to his fans, or lack there of.

Brown is not the only male being criticized for a pair of "form fitting" pants. A middle school student in Mesquite, TX was given the decision to change pants or leave school. Student, Seth Chamlee, was sent to the office immediately during first period when he arrived in a pair of black skinny jeans. The reasoning behind his dismissal was as to not disrupt school. In some TX school districts the pants are ok as long as they are not inappropriate. However, in the Mesquite school distract skinny jeans are BANNED. The parents of Seth Chamlee decided their son would go home and stay home. He is now being home schooled.

This post is similar to a piece I did on a new implemented dress school at historical Morehouse College. In instances where students are reprimanded for their way of dress, there is not much one can do about the schools policies. You either follow or leave. What about non-students, people such as Brown, who choose to wear these fashions in their everyday lives but still receive criticism? What is then the distraction?

TURN it UP Tuesdays: Nicoya

Nicoya is an upcoming artist. This track has gotten some airplay and featured on a couple of mixtapes. Nicoya is a singer as well as a songwriter. She hails from Texas. This song was featured on concreteloop.com's "Hot or Not" section. I think the track is HOT.

The song is entitled "Superman". Nicoya's lyrics reflect a woman that is looking for "Superman" and questions if he exists or wonders has she set her standards too high. Take a listen, I'm sure you will enjoy the lyrics and her vocals, especially the single ladies still on the man hunt. You will be singing along. Click the below player to hear the track.

Weed!?! May be Your Cure

Dealing with or ever dealt with Post-Dramatic Stress Disorder? Well a new study suggest that marijuana may help you cope. According to a recent article published in a recent issue of Journal of Neuroscience, it may prevent increased levels of stress released hormones. These hormones are released in response to traumatic occurrences. Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) affects 10 to 30 people who have experience a traumatic event. People can experience stress symptoms years after the accident even occurs.

Two types of traumatic events listed in the research were terror attack and car accident. Everyone of the new millennium has experienced the results of a terror attack and can pull up a you tube video at any time to witness a terror attack in action. Who hasn't been in a car accident? If events so frequent as a car accident can cause release of stress hormones, what other instances do you think can increase your stress? Failing grades, job loss, loss of loved one, the evening news perhaps?

The conducted study suggest further research in the use of weed to reduce stress, what do you think?
