GiFtS that keep GiViNiG...Holiday Shop for a Cause

I know you've noticed advertisement for Holiday shopping already. Although, Thanksgiving has not arrived yet, I think it is fitting to post some Holiday Shopping ideas, especially if we are going to give DIFFERENTLY THIS YEAR. I have begun to compile some ideas to help you shop FOR A CAUSE this year. Why not give a gift that keeps on giving. Not only will you not feel as bad spending money, but the receiver of your gifts will treasure them more, knowing the meaning behind them. Giving is contagious, maybe your receiver will give with a charitable heart as well. Enjoy your holiday season and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. If you have any ideas for this post, contact me as well. HAPPY GIVING!!

$35 from the $40 purchase of this shirt is donated to an organization entitled Charity: Water. Saks Fifth Avenue has partnered with the charity to help bring water to underdeveloped countries. 1 in 6 people in the world do not have access to clean water, UNBELIEVABLE HUH? If you purchase a rubber band bracelet (Charity: Water printed on outside and Saks Fifth Ave. printed in the inside), 100% of the proceeds will go towards the CLEAN WATER CAUSE.

For Every t-shirt you buy this company will plant a tree in partner with "Trees for our Future". There are several different types of shirts on this website, however we are shopping for a cause. They have a selection of organic & sweat shop free shirts. www.bant-shirts.com/think-green-t-shirt

Solar Powered Lamps from IKEA. These lamps are available in five different colors and are eco-friendly, stylish, and affordable. No electrical connection is required, and when fully charged can provide four hours of continuous light. For each lamp sold, Ikea will be donated to children in refugee camps and remote locations that are without electricity. www.IKEA.COM

"Teddy Share" is a charity that helps feed malnourished East African children under the age of 5. The 8 inch bear (Nut) goes for $35 and the 16 inch (Plumpy) for $60. www.inhabitots.com

Rugby.com When you visit this site there is a link at the top that states "Give Back" and shows all of Rugby's initiative. In particular Rugby has some Ralph Lauren shirts that are very fashionable. For every shirt you buy on the site, 50% of the proceeds go to the Match Rugby Fund. This fund gives grants to community and education oriented programs started by young people. EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT way to GIVE BACK!

If you purchase the above tea set on St. Jude.org all of its proceeds will go to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital, which we all know is a wonderful organization that helps support children with cancer.

How about buying gifts for a stranger? There are some they may not be able to have as blessed a holiday season as you, when it comes to giving and getting gifts. In the city of memphis you can adopt an angel, a child from a less fortunate home. Below is a picture of ticket you recieve when you select an angel. You can pick gender and age, and can even view their wish list before selecting a angel. Tis the season to be JOLLY! Spread some cheer to those you know and those you dont. You still have some time to get in on adopting an angel the last day to have gifts donated to this fondation is December 12.

*****LIST WILL BE UPDATED FREQUENTLY! If low on funds you can always donate your TIME & any unwanted slightly used Clothing & Goods*****
